Hi - I’m Millie, a Melbourne based mother of 2 to my son Alex and my daughter Emily.
It all started with an observation:
As adults, 71% of us wear sunglasses while driving or outdoors, but we hardly see any kids wearing them in the school yard or on holiday. Yet, most of their lifetime UV absorption occurs before the age of 18.
As parents, we try our very best to protect our children from the harsh southern sun. From wearing the right gear to “no hat, no play” at school, our kids are practising slip, slop, slap every day...But why aren’t they wearing sunglasses?
At sunnies+, we were determined to find a better way, to ensure kids will never forget or misplace their sunnies again.
That’s when sunnies+ was born.
Through dedicated research and extensive prototyping, we're proud to present a smart and simple solution to a previously unsolvable SunSmart problem.
By the simple genius of permanently attaching our sunglasses to school hats (or any hat), sunnies+ can be secured to, and stored together with the hat!
Combined with our unique slide-and-tilt-to-adjust mechanisms, our kids will have total comfort in the playground and the total benefit of SunSmart sun protection.
